All Surrey Arts tutors are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked.

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) has replaced the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA). It helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children.

DBS is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Home Office.

Training and development

Surrey Arts offer a variety of professional development courses to enhance tutor knowledge. These include regular training events, inset days and conferences. LINK
