Surrey Arts is in the process of  planning a programme of training and CPD workshops for 2016-2017 for teachers and community singing leaders in various aspects of singing: classroom songs, help with choirs, building vocal confidence, guiding gifted singers, etc.

On Sunday 30 June a new project for young musicians known as the ‘Infinity Orchestra’ was launched with a one day workshop event featuring musicians from Surrey Arts and the BBC.

On Sunday 3 July Surrey Arts will be hosting the super band – Superbrass at Dorking Halls with workshops for young musicians and evening performance. Superbrass has some of the best brass and percussion players in the world who have played on some of the most iconic soundtracks including Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and James Bond as well as regularly performing with the finest orchestras in England.

Surrey’s unique orchestra of Unlimited Potential (UP! Orchestra) has been shortlisted for the Best Musical Initiative Award at the 2016 Music Teacher Awards for Excellence!
